Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has hinted that he wants to stay at the Bridge after revealing he wants to win the Premier League

Rudiger has been in the headlines alot over the past few months as there is alot of speculation about whether or not he will stay at the club, or leave to join the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayerun Munich or Juventus

It is no secret that the club, who could lose up to three defenders in the summer window, are very keen to make sure that he stays at Stamford Bridge as he has been in fine form this season

But those displays have only strengthened Rudiger’s belief that he should be one of the club’s top earners and he has an offer on the table from Real Madrid to move to Spain

To fend off all interest in the player, reports have claimed that the board have offered Rudiger a contract worth £250,000-a-week, and that’s before any signing-on fee.

And although many believe that he has already decided to leave the club, he has given the club a boost by admitting that he wants to win the Premier League: “Of course, I want to win the Premier League,” he said. “We had never won this trophy (the Club World Cup) in Chelsea’s history before. I’m very delighted that we didn’t give up, that we did our thing. We tried everything and won.

“I just want to help, I just want to be important and lead by example. This is the main thing. We all showed character against Palmeiras. None of us gave up.

“Thiago Silva gave away the penalty (for Palmeiras to equalise) but he didn’t lack anything. He continued and continued.

“And there was a great impact from the guys who came on from the bench, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Malang Sarr, Timo Werner and Saul Niguez. They all worked very hard.

“The Premier League is the toughest competition because Manchester City set a very high standard. We have to get to a point where we can go on a long marathon.”
