Here is the latest Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Joao Felix has sent a message to the CHELSEA fans admitting that this move to London gives him the chance to find a home and is looking forward to scoring goals for the club.

Felix, 24, spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan with the club and returns to Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis for a fee in the region of £44.5million.

The attacker acknowledges he is returning to the club with a sense of unfinished business. That feeling is heightened because he has not put down roots in recent seasons: ‘It’s a chance for me to find a home,’ Joao tells the club website

‘After two loans, Chelsea and Barca, I needed to stay permanently in one place. There is no better place for me to be than CHELSEA. I see a perfect place to shine.

‘It was a little bit of a lot of things that made me want to come back: the project, the club, the league, the fans, the time I spent here that I loved. I felt really good when I was here, despite the results we had. I’m really happy to be back.’

‘I’ve developed as a player in a lot of ways: the perception of the game, and the spaces the ball can arrive easily where I can make more impact,’ he explains. ‘I try to figure it out by watching some videos of me of my games.

‘I’ve kind of changed since I was last here. I’m 24 now. I’ll be 25 in November. I feel like I grew up as a player. That’s normal with age. I’m more prepared for the Premier League.

‘I feel like my best years are ahead of me. I have no doubt about that. The best years are still to come. And this year is going to be a good year, because now I am permanently at home, and I can enjoy home.’

HUMPHREYS EXCITED WITH MOVE –

CHELSEA starlet Bashir Humphreys has opened up and revealed that he is very excited about the loan move that he has just made to Burnley – and it is a move that makes sense for his career

The academy graduate was left off the club’s pre-season tour which hinted he was due to a departure ahead of the upcoming campaign.

His switch has now been confirmed with the Clarets taking on his services for the new season and beyond as the deal includes a buy-obligation in the region of £14million

And after joining Burnley, Humphreys has opened up and revealed that he is very excited about the loan move that he has just made to Burnley – and it is a move that makes sense for his career

Humphreys said: “It feels great! It’s an amazing club! It makes so much sense for the next step in my career.”

“Burnley is a club with huge ambitions, the owners know what they’re doing, and they really want to push the club on as much as possible.”

“The Gaffer here is great! I had really good conversations with him and that’s always pivotal when it comes to transfers. It was completely perfect, everything he was saying to me. He knew about my game; he wants to work with me and help me improve.

‘That’s all you want to hear as a player.”

The lad is very talented and it is a shame that he has had to make a loan move away to get the game time minutes he needs – but this if a smart switch to make.

CHELSEA EXPECTED SIGN PENDERS –

CHELSEA are expected to sign Mike Penders from Genk before the end of the transfer window, according to The latest reports that have emerged in the media over the past few days.

The club have been making alot of transfer moves once again this season to sign some of the best talents in the game and Penders is the latest name to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

the young Belgian only made his debut for Genk towards the back end of last season, but he has impressed so much that Chelsea are ready to pay some big money in order to get a deal done, and then offer the lad a massive contract to sign up too.

Penders is expected to sign a contract until 2032, but he will stay with his current club Genk on loan this season It means the teenager will officially join up with the Blues squad next summer.

We have already signed Filip Jorgensen to compete with Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic this campaign, and according to the Athletic, the stopper will join for a fee worth up to £17m on a long-term deal. However, he will spend the coming season at Genk, before heading to Stamford Bridge next June.

Penders is a great young talent – but at the end of the day he is another player that the club do not need to sign right now – this is another waste of £17 million that could have gone towards a big named signing.
