Striker responds to reports Chelsea want him – ‘is flattered’

Lille striker Jonathan David has responded to the speculation linking him with a move to CHELSEA FC
The club only Nicolas Jackson as their main striker – and although Armando Broja is a decent back-up – he is not the quality that David would bring to that Blues squad if signed.
The Canadian international – rated at €65 million – is one of the most highly-rated striker in Europe and a player that the Chelsea board believe they could turn into one of the best players in Europe, according to reports on the Sun Website.
The transfer window has not brought the type of business that many people had hoped for and we have struggled to make any serious offers for their top transfer targets – which has meant that they have had to change tactics
Such speculation has been pointed out to David in a recent interview with Telefoot. The Canada international admitted to being ‘flattered’ by the rumours linking him with a move to clubs such as CHELSEA FC.
“When you’re young, these are the clubs you watch and think about,” David said. “It’s flattering, I appreciate that.”

David is a very good young striker that has already proven that he has the ability to score goals at the very highest level of the game – so for the right amount of money – he would be a solid addition to the side.
