German opens door to stunning move, Coutinho will thrive at Chelsea, fans told, Fans told Chelsea have signed a very special player
Chelsea have signed special player in Ziyech, Coutinho will thrive, Neuer opens door to summer deal in Chelsea roundup..
Owen Hargreaves has backed Barcelona flop Philippe Coutinho to thrive should he return to the Premier League, amid interest from Chelsea.
There is no doubt that we are keen to improve certain areas of the pitch at the end of the season and bring in the type of players that add something special to the side, and that has led to speculation linking Coutinho with a move.
Now, amid the speculation, former Red Devils midfielder Hargreaves believes Coutinho can still have a huge impact in England’s top flight and has urged the club to make a move during the summer window.
‘I love his game, I love him as a player. He is obviously going through a bit of a tough time after leaving Liverpool,’ said Hargreaves on the Metro
‘Barca didn’t work and Bayern hasn’t really worked, but there is still plenty of time and I would never count him out.
‘I would love to see him back in the Premier League. He makes a lot of teams better. ‘Premier League teams are probably the only ones with the capacity to sign him and, let’s be honest, when he was here he was a dream to watch.
‘If Liverpool are missing one thing it is probably a No.10ish player. I know they probably don’t need him because that front three are so good as is the balance in midfield.
‘There are a lot of rumours about Chelsea, even Man United. There are a lot of teams where if I was sporting director, surely his name is on a lot of teams’ lists to come in and make a big impact.
‘The question is, does he do it on loan again or is it a sale, because it doesn’t look like he’s going to stay at Barcelona.’
Chelsea target Manuel Neuer has opened the door to a possible Bayern Munich exit this summer.
Before coronavirus put a temporary stop on Premier League action, Lampard had banished Kepa to the bench and promoted veteran keeper Willy Caballero to the starting XI in his place.
And that has led to some speculation in the media suggesting that weare ready to make a move and try to bring in a new stopper at the end of the season, to make sure that they have a more reliable stopper between the sticks for when next season starts
Neuer has spent almost a decade at Bayern Munich, playing close to 400 games for the German club and winning seven Bundesliga titles and the Champions League, but there are reports that Bayern have signed a younger stopper for next season, meaning that he may be forced to sit on the bench.
[the_ad id=”164″]Recent reports in the media have claimed The German goalkeeper is in talks over a new deal, and Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said he was confident that a deal will be concluded soon.
However, Neuer didn’t share the same optimism, and admitted the path to a new deal is “still not clear”, with Chelsea keeping a very close eye on the developments.
He said on the Daily Express: “I think Karl-Heinz Rummenigge knows what’s going on.
“There is nothing to announce at the moment.
“There is no ultimatum. It is not necessary to make such a decision at the moment.
“We are both optimistic, of course, but it is still not clear at all.”
Louis van Gaal believes Chelsea are getting a great team player in Hakim Ziyech, who will be arriving in the coming months.
The 26-year-old starred in Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals last season and also helped the Dutch side to their first League in a good few seasons, with an impressive return of 16-goals and 13 assists in 29 League games for the Dutch giants
He will be putting on that shirt for next season when he arrives sometime in July, and many fans are excited to just what he can bring to the club for the next few seasons.
Now Dutch boss Van Gaal has opened up and claimed Ziyech is a great all-round player, and that Chelsea have signed a special player.
He told NOS: “He has developed tremendously at Ajax. Not so much in creativity, but as a team player.
“The public has come to realize that he works very hard for a creative person. And then he also scores goals and gives assists.
“Then you are a special player.”
Ziyech should be one of a number of signings that we will surely make during the summer transfer window and if his arrival shows the type of quality that the club will be looking to sign, it could be a real statement summer for Lampards side.
He is a very special player but there are other areas of the pitch that need to be worked out, so hopefully he is not the only special player that arrives at Chelsea next season.
This is the opening, not Lampard needs to follow it up with a defender and a striker.
