Napoli boss Antonio Conte is delighted with the signing of ex-CHELSEA star Romelu Lukaku after it was revealed this week that the big Belgian has made the permanent move to Italian football

Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021 in a £97.5million deal, which was a club-record signing for the club at the time – but he’s failed to live up to the hefty price tag having scored just 15 goals in his second spell at the club.

He gave a bombshell interview with Italian media where he revealed his regret at leaving Inter Milan to join Chelsea and has had loan spells at Inter and Roma since

Now The Belgian striker has finally left us in a £25million move and has signed a three-year contract in Naples after being told he was not part of the clubs plans this season, he has left the club permanently and headed back to Serie A to work with Antonio Conte again

And after the striker completed his move after months of talks -Conte has discussed his move. “I hope that Romelu can get in tune with the team immediately, we have two training sessions and the finishing touches on Saturday morning. If he has nothing special, he will come with us.

“What can I say? He is certainly an atypical centre forward, usually with that physique they are slow. And instead he has great legs, he is an American football player, powerful and very fast.

‘We need both things, someone who knows how to hold up and keep the ball to exchange it with his more talented teammates, but also who knows how to attack the depth and the spaces’
