Man United backs Higuain to Chelsea move with deal already agreed

Manchester United legend Andy Cole has backed Gonzalo Higuain’s potential move to Chelsea this month.

It seems that boss Maurizio Sarri has got his dream transfer after it emerged that Higuain had reportedly agreed a six month loan deal to make the move to Stamford Bridge after becoming unhappy at AC Milan.

He has not found the form which made him so deadly in Seria A and has struggled for goals over the past few months, with the Italian giants becoming very frustrated by his inability to score goals on a regular basis.

And despite many in the media suggesting that Higuain is not longer good enough for the Premier League, Cole believes it is a no brainer of a deal for the club.

He was quoted: ‘Is Higuain to Chelsea a good deal? No brainer. No brainer, for me.

‘If you look at this career, the goals he’s got in Italy, Spain, no brainer.

‘We’re sitting here saying Chelsea have had huge centre forwards that have struggled over the years but I think he’ll be fine.

‘His attributes are that he scores goals, especially where he’s played at, playing at Real Madrid, he was the main centre forward and got loads of goals there.

‘He’s got good movement, I like his movement. He works very, very hard for a centre forward which is a big plus as well.’

Is Higuaín the right buy for the club?

If the Argentine can adapt quickly to the Premier League, then he could be a good short term buy for Sarri, but thinking long-term the Juventus ace is not the answer as he is coming to the back end of his career at the highest level of the game
