Beppe Marotta, the Inter Milan chief executive, says CHELSEA striker Romelu Lukaku wants to remain at the club next season.

The Belgium international striker scored just eight Premier League goals last season and the decision was made last summer window to send him back to Italian football with Inter.

Big things were expected of the Belgian star when he made the move back to the club – but he has failed to live upto the expectations that fans had – and looks nothing like the man that was banging in goals on a weekly basis before his move to Stamford Bridge

Inter have lingering concerns over Lukaku’s lack of fitness – with CEO Giuseppe Marotta recently revealing that the Belgian was ‘carrying 103kg on his shoulders’

Now – amid all the speculation surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge – Marotta has claimed that Lukaku does not want to make a move back to Chelsea at the end of the season

“Speaking to Radio Rai, Marotta said: “Romelu loves the shirt he wears, he is very comfortable at Inter.

“These are fundamental aspects, this desire of his to be with us.

But he is on loan until June 30. He will return to Stamford Bridge and we don’t know what will happen on a technical level at that club.

“At the moment we are at the window.”
