Forget Icardi as Genoa stick £44 million asking price on goal-machine Chelsea target Piatek
Fresh reports have claimed Genoa will set a fee of £44m for in-demand Chelsea target Krzysztof Piatek.
The Polish forward, who has scored 10 goals in Serie A this season, is said to have attracted interest from Maurizio Sarri over the last few months, as the Italian seeks to bolster his unimpressive front-line.
Despite having some of the most creative and imaginative midfielders in Europe right now, both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have both struggled to score the goals and after lads very disappointing 3-1 loss to Tottenham last weekend, Sarri has now stepped up his chase to land a striker.[the_ad id=”238″]
And if reports on Tuttosport are correct, Genoa will only ask £44 million for the 23-year old hitman.
Piatek is showing great ability after taking Serie A by storm and already has more goals than Morata and Giroud combined this season.
Would Piatek be a good fit for us here at Stamford Bridge?
Piatek is scoring goals for fun over in Serie A with a side that would struggle to even stay in the Premier League, so if he managed to make the move he would surely score 30-40 goals a season.
He is only 23-years of age and has a lot of developing still to do, but the fact he would cost half of what out other target Mauro Icardi would means he would be an absolute bargain, especially since he is younger that the Inter Milan star.
But we should take a risk and try to sign him up as he has all the attributes to be a top-level striker in the coming seasons.[the_ad id=”164″]
