Chelsea’s Premier League target seeking early January move

Struggling Brighton forward and long-term CHELSEA transfer target Evan Ferguson is planning to leave the club as he looks to reignite his young career after a struggling start to the new season.

There was talk that a £150 million valuation was set on the young mans shoulders, but in the end, the option to stay at Brighton was took as clubs did not want to pay silly money in order to get the young man all signed up.

Things, though, have drastically changed for the player in the 2024-25 campaign as he is struggling for game time under new manager Fabian Hurzeler. Ferguson has appeared in nine matches across all competitions so far, however, he has started only in three games.

Frustrated with his role in the team, the player is reportedly seeking an exit route, with a number of Premier League clubs interested, according to Football Insider.

Look, all the transfer talk that suggested Ferguson is going to the very top has clearly got into his head, he has been unable to make the kind of impact this season that he would have liked.

A move away from the club in January would certainly improve his game time, but he needs to make the right career choices as he could be a quality Premier League striker

However – if he was brought to the club on loan in the January window it would mean that he just sits on the bench and gets even more upset.

The lad is talented, but he is nowhere near the quality that we need him to be.
