Zola opens up and admits admiration for in-form Chelsea target Wilson
Gianfranco Zola has spoken of Chelsea’s admiration for Callum Wilson amid speculation they are keen on a deal.
The 26-year-old England striker has been in great form for the Cherries this season and already has eight goals to his name in the Premier League, which is two more than Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata combined at Stamford Bridge.
And his performances not only earned him a call-up to the England National squad, but also caught the admiring glances of Maurizio Sarri, who knows he must add a striker or two to his line-up in the coming transfer windows.
Now Zola has admitted his admiration for the pacey little striker, telling Sky Sports:,”I’m sure there are a lot of players linked with us. Certainly Callum Wilson is doing well for his club and is of interest not only of us but for many.
“He’s strong, fast, and he sees the goal. I like because he’s quick, but also strong in the air, which is a very important quality. But I don’t want to go too much into it. He’s doing very well. I’m pleased for him.
“He has a lot of qualities that can take him a long way.”[the_ad id=”164″]
Is Wilson really good enough for move here?
If Wilson continues to score the goals and our strikers continue to fail in front of goal, then yes Sarri will make a move for Wilson as he could add some goals to the side.
But he is not a 20-30 goal a season striker, not just yet.
