Chelsea wish Lucas ‘the best of luck’ after officially completing January deal

It has been confirmed that Chelsea have let Lucas Piazon leave the club and sign for FC Braga.

We have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks about players that could arrive, and players that could be leaving over the next few weeks, with Piazon a name that is no longer wanted at the club.

The forward is somewhat of a forgotten man at Stamford Bridge with his only Premier League outing come in the memorable 8-0 win over Aston Villa back in December 2012, but is his time at the club is now over

He has now agreed a move away from the club on a permanent basis and has joined Portuguese side FC Braga on a long-term target, the club announced on the club website: “Piazon’s new club Braga are fourth in the Primeira Liga. They are managed by former Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal, who was also Piazon’s boss at Rio Ave last season.

“We would like to wish Lucas the best of luck for the rest of his career and thank him for his service.”

Piazon is a very gifted player that never managed to reach his full potential at the club, so the news that he has joined a decent side in the Portuguese League, it is a very good move for the man to make.

We also wish him the best of luck after his move, and hopefully, he will start to show his potential. There was never a doubt that he had the ability to be a star, he was never given the chance here
