Brazilian star Willian opens up and admits interest in signing up with Chelsea on short-term basis
Willian has suggested he is open to signing a short-term contract extension with Chelsea in order to complete the 2019/20 campaign.
Willian has been in the transfer headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few months as the club are refusing to hand him that three-years deal that he wants to stay at the Bridge.
He has constantly come out and stated his desire to stay at the club, despite all the transfer links and many fans are getting unhappy at the fact that we have not yet decided to keep hold of the man.
But now the Brazilian has opened up and admitted that he is willing to sign a short-term contract at the club in order to help us finish the current season.
He told Brazilian outlet Esporte Interativo: “It’s a difficult situation because Chelsea offered me two years and they are not going to change what they offered.
“I said I wanted three more years. The situation is difficult because of this. I really don’t know if it will be possible [to stay].
“My goal is to continue working and focus on the remainder of the season, so that Chelsea can continue winning games.
“I have a clear head and I’m focused for the rest of the season that we have left. I think it’s difficult. Let’s see what happens.”
Look, we are all big fans of Willian and this shows that he is keen to stay at the club, there needs to be a compromise as i dont want him making that move to Arsenal or Tottenham, they do not deserve the midfielder.
If it was down to me, i would hand him that three-year deal, end all speculation and move on! lets just hope that the club are also thinking like that ayy guys?
