Agent opens up and confirms Chelsea talks to sign up wonderful Brazilian Willian
The agent of Arsenal target and Chelsea star Willian has admitted that the Brazilian wants to finish his career at the highest level.
There has been alot of speculation that Willian could be leaving at the end of the season as reports in the media have suggested that we may not be willing to offer him a new contract because of his age, and are willing to let him leave the club on a free transfer, with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona eyeing up a possible deal
It is believed that he wants a bigger contract that what we want to offer him, and that has even alerted a number of Premier League clubs to a possible free deal too.
Now, amid all the transfer speculation, his agent Kia Joorabchian also revealed Willian remains in contract talks with the club, despite rumours over a possible exit, and that the club are keen to sign him for two years but the player wants three years.
“Before the pandemic occurred, the negotiations were around two and three years,” he told Sky Sports
“Chelsea have a policy which we respect and understand but Willian has a career and he has ambition.
“He wants to finish his playing career at a very high level.”
Look, we are massive fans of Willian and firmly believe we would be foolish to let him leave the club, but since this will be his last big time contract in the Premier League, we will be keeping a very close eye on developments.
He deserves a new deal and as we said, we would be fools to let the man leave.
