Bundesliga superstar lewandowski open up and tells Chelsea that possible signing ‘is one of the best’
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has listed reported Liverpool target Timo Werner as one of the best strikers in the world.
Despite the fact that the Premier League season has been stopped, there has been alot of transfer speculation in the media suggesting that we could make a summer move and acquire the services of Werner.
Werner has developed over the last few seasons into one of the most clinical finishers in the game and has constantly admitted that he is seeking a move away from the Bundesliga in the coming seasons.
Liverpool may be favourites to win the race for Werner, but we are a side that need to spend some money and try to bring in a new striker to partner Tammy Abraham for next season, and Werner is seen as that man.
But away from the transfer speculation, another Bundesliga striker Lewandowski has opened up on the brilliance of Werner, when he was asked by an international panel who he thought were the top five strikers in the world at the moment.
“A difficult question,” said Lewandowski, quoted by Daily Star.
“If we talk about the nine (classic centre forward), I would say: Karim Benzema, Timo Werner, Luis Suarez, Sergio Agüero and Kylian Mbappé.”
We have said it once before and we will say it again, Werner is one of the best strikers in the world right now and if there is even a little chance that we can complete a deal for this man, we should.
He would be a great signing for that £68 million that he is going for and in a Chelsea shirt, he could be the best!
