Nagelsmann announces replacing Chelsea bound Werner ‘impossible’

Replacing Timo Werner at RB Leipzig will be almost impossible as “you can’t clone a player” or find anyone with a similar goal threat, admits coach Julian Nagelsmann.

After months and months of speculation, news broke over the weekend that we have agreed a deal with RB to bring Werner to the Premier League after activating that £54 million release clause.

It is believed that an announcement for Werner will be done after the flight restrictions are lifted after the Coronavirus, sofans will have to wait to get official conformation about a deal.

But Nagelsmann now faces the task of replacing Werner’s goals for his team, and admits it could mean having to sign multiple players to do the job previously performed by a one-man goal machine.

Speaking exclusively to Goal and DAZN, Werner said: “It’s not possible [to replace him], you can’t clone a player. If Timo Werner leaves us, the main thing would be to replace 34 goals a season.

“That would be the main task, which perhaps could not be solved by just one player. It is important that we get the same output at the end of the day, that is the complex thing about the topic.”

Werner is a brilliant striker that will be a huge success at here when he officially arrives at the club, we are just hoping that he manages to reach that next level quickly and not be a flop.

If he doesnt start well in a Chelsea shirt, the media will be all over him, which will knock his confidence and develeopment.
