Video – Watch brilliant Timo Werner break records ahead of £50 million Chelsea move
Timo Werner scored twice against Augsburg on Saturday to become RB Leipzig’s all-time leading scorer in his final match with the club.
Werner is now regarded as one of the finest strikers in the game after a stunning season in the Bundesliga, and his performances earned him a £50 million move to the Bridge when the transfer window opens up.
But in his last game for Leipzig, The Germany international opened the scoring in the first half on Saturday, which put him on 94 goals for Leipzig – a new club record, and Werner later added a second to finish on 95 ahead of his move, an impending transfer that was confirmed this month.
What a way to say goodbye! 🙌
Werner's final touch for Leipzig is, of course, a goal 🤩
