Brazilian has agreed personal terms with Chelsea

CHELSEA could be close to landing Brazilian whizkid Deivid Washington on a deal, worth £17 million

the club have been very busy in the transfer market this summer and have signed a number of exciting talents that are heavily tipped to become some of the very best in the game.

And former Gremio schoolboy Washington is said to be keen on the move after the Blues have shown a real interest in getting a deal done and adding him to the squad in the future.

WHAT IS THE LATEST – 

The club have reportedly agreed personal terms over a £17million switch from Santos – with the 18-year-old expected to be instantly loaned out to Strasbourg.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims a deal is “imminent” with an “official bid submitted”.

And Brazilian TV station Globo reckon the fee will be 20m euros – £17m

Washington is one of those exciting talents that many fans have not heard of – that is not being signed to make an immediate impact on the squad now and is not ready for the Blues, he is for the future.

That board have been spending some serious money over the past few transfer windows on their plans – and although many people have not seen Washington play – the scouts have been doing their work.

We wish we would tell you guys that he will be a very good signing, we wish we could tell you that he is good enough, but we are going to tell you that he is probably a talent that will get lost into the system because this move is coming too soon for the lad.
