Here is the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation that we think that you guys could have missed…

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that CHELSEA are actively looking for a new centre-back to bring to the club in the next couple of transfer windows, with Tomas Araujo of Benfica a player that the Blues admire.

The club have spent some serious money in the last couple of transfer windows and added players to the side that they believed would take the club forward and back challenging for Champions League and Premier League football.

But despite the clubs quality attacking ability, there has been some issues that is causing Enzo Maresca at the back as the club have been unable to fill the leadership void that Thiago Silva left after he decided to depart the club and top level football.

Fabrizio Romano has shared a key update about the situation on his youtube channel. He said that the club are actively looking for centre back and also revealed their top priority.

CHELSEA are actively monitoring the centre-back market,’ Romano said. ‘Let’s see if it’s going to be January, let’s see if it’s going to be summer.

‘It’s not guaranteed it’s going to be January because in the last days of the summer transfer window, Chelsea were considering to bring in a new centre-back. For example, a player they are in love with is Tomas Araujo at Benfica.

‘They were considering a move for him, but then nothing happened because Benfica were not selling an important player a few days before the end of the transfer window.

‘Now, I can confirm to you once again that they are monitoring the market. They are following players.’

MUSIALA DROPS HINT –

Germany and Bayern Munich star and Long-term CHELSEA fc transfer target Jamal Musiala has opened up about his future at the Bavarian club as he hinted could consider staying back in Munich.

Musiala is one of the most dynamic, exciting and talented players in world football and a man that Bayern believe can get them back into the habit of winning that Champions League title.

However – there has been alot of speculation about his long-term future at Bayern Munich and it has  been mentioned on many occasions that a move to the Premier League could happen, with a number of top clubs ready to splash the cash to try and get a transfer deal done.

As per Sport BILD. The 21-year-old’s contract renewal remains a top priority for Bayern, but Musiala appears intent on taking his time before committing to new terms and may decide to hold of opening talks about a new contract until the January transfer window.

But now the star has hinted tat he will probably stay at the German giants, Speaking to reporters, Musiala said, “Signing new deal at Bayern or not? I can’t say much about the contract topic. My focus is on the DFB team. But I’m happy in Munich, I can say that.”

The club have done some decent business last summer – but they should try and stick to moving for players that they can actually sign without Champions League football – they have spent alot of money in the last few windows, but Musiala will want to join a side that is winning games and trophies.

We would be shocked to see him leave Bayern, but he could have been a great signing.

ESTEVAO WILLIAN WANTS TROPHIES

Estevao says he wants to ‘make history’ at CHELSEA and become the club’s most successful Brazilian of all time when he officially makes the move to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.

Estevao – who will join up with the Blues next summer – has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence since making his first-team debut for Palmeiras last December, racking up 14 goals in 42 appearances for his boyhood team.

And although he has not even made the move to the club yet, Willian has opened up and revealed that he has big dreams to overhaul David Luiz as the most successful Brazilian for the Blues

David Luiz helped the club win the Premier League, the Champions League, two Europa Leagues and two FA Cups – he said: ‘I want to make history and be the most successful Brazilian in the club’s history.

‘I want to win titles and show my full potential, show everything I can do.’

‘Playing for the Brazilian national team is an extra level. It’s the shirt of the greatest world champion. It was a dream come true,’ Estevao told Transfermarkt ahead of Brazil’s double-header.

‘When I was a child, I always said that one day I would be there and I managed to make that dream come true. I was very happy and I hope to wear the national team shirt more often.

‘I was a little nervous, but I was very happy to have my first opportunity.

‘Playing for Brazil is not a burden for me, you know? It is a reason for joy to be wearing the Brazilian shirt and I was happy.

‘I am happy when I am on the field. There is some nervousness, yes, because it is Brazil and because of the people who have already worn this shirt. But I was calm. The group was very relaxed, they all welcomed me well.’
