Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today
Real Madrid have reportedly lost interest in Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies opening the door for CHELSEA to make a move for the Bundesliga star.
Alphonso Davies is a player that has the ability to play in a number of positions, and has been on the radar of the club for quite a few seasons, but they have never been able to get a transfer deal done.
However Davies is open to leaving Bayern Munich in the coming transfer windows, a year before his contract expires, and Bayern are open to letting him leave the club.
The German giants have reportedly give the defender an ultimatum over a contract extension – which has not kept his agents happy – and it seemed that a move to Real Madrid may be on the cards for the star.
However – Madrid have reportedly lost interest in Bayern Munich left-back Davies and are now targeting Girona star Miguel Gutierrez instead, according to Cope

If the reports are true and Madrid have cooled their interest in signing Davies over the summer window – then it will be a massive boost to us.
It is no secret that boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to add a bit more experience to the side when the transfer window opens up and would like to add a proven – versatile and world class player like Davies to the side.
BENTO CONFIRMS OFFER –
Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper and CHELSEA target Bento has confirmed that Inter Milan have made contact over a possible move in the summer window.
The club spent millions and millions of pounds over the past couple of transfer windows adding players to the squad – but they still do not have a world class stopper between those sticks.
Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic are yet to prove themselves as viable long-term solutions in goal and Everton’s Jordan Pickford has been mooted as a possible target, as well as out-of-favour Arsenal man Aaron Ramsdale and Bento.
Bento rose through Athletico’s academy ranks and has since established himself as one of the most sought-after young goalkeepers in Brazilian football, and the club are very keen to try and get a deal done.
However, it’s understood Inter Milan, the newly crowned Italian champions, are in pole position to land Bento and the Brazil international refused to rule out a summer switch to the San Siro when quizzed on his future by ESPN this week.
‘What I know is that it’s speculation. Inter only asked, they didn’t make an official proposal,’ Bento explained.
‘I’m happy that they mention my name, it’s the result of my work and my performances here at Athletico.
‘If a proposal actually arrives, we’ll see what happens.
‘It will be about meeting the club and my agents so that, if it happens, it happens in the best way for everyone.’
CHELSEA WANT VARANE
CHELSEA are interested in a free deal for Man United defender Rafa Varane.
Varane was meant to be a massive signing for Man United after he made the decision to leave Real Madrid just a few transfer windows – and many tipped him to show the class he has been over the years.
However – injuries, poor performances and the inability to adapt to the quality of the Premier League has meant that he has been a £300,000-a-week flop at Man United and the decision was made this month to leave at the end of the season.
Now Fichajes reports that we are looking at Varane as a top contender to take Thiago Silva’s place after the Brazilian star also made the decision to leave the Premier League at thee end of the season.
Despite Varane’s underwhelming performances in Manchester, former star Johnson recently urged his old team to move for the Frenchman in the summer.
Asked about a potential deal, he told Betfred: “Yes, definitely. Good players like that don’t come around often and they certainly come around less often on a free transfer.
“I know he’s not the Varane he was three or four years ago but he’s still a bloody good player.
“Yes, he’s had his injury problems but that’s what outweighs the transfer fee.
“If you’re buying him on a free and he’s only playing 50% of the games, then that’s still a good deal to do.”
“As we saw with Thiago Silva, those sort of players who have done everything, played for top teams and clubs, they get the attention of the dressing room.
“They’re the big names that the younger players want to look up to and obviously they’re great to have around.”
