Chelsea Board ‘Are Very Interested’ in Making big Move For La Liga Superstar

CHELSEA FC are reportedly interested in bringing Barcelona coach Xavi to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The club have massively struggled under Mauricio Pochettino in his first season with the Blues, despite the club having spent well over £1 billion since the takeover of Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

This season, they have once again failed to impress in the Premier League. However, they had a golden opportunity to win a trophy this season when they took on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final but ended up losing the match late in extra-time.

The board are not in the mood to make a quick decision about the future of Pochettino – but he will be given time to turn things around between now and the end of the season, but contingency plans are being made.

According to HITC, the club are very interested in Xavi, who may not be a difficult appointment to make this summer.

That is because the Barcelona legend has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

“I had taken days ago but today was the moment to announce it,” Xavi said in a press conference in January as he confirmed his plans to depart the Spotify Camp Nou.

“I don’t want to be a problem. I want to be a solution for Barca as I was two years ago.”

Could we get Xavi?

The club have the money and big-club feeling that Xavi would like – but we are sure that a move to the Premier League is one that he is not interested in right now.
