Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Ivan Toney has been advised to snub a move to Arsenal in January and join a club like CHELSEA.

Despite not being part of that Brentford squad this season because he has been banned – there has been alot of transfer talk regarding the long-term future of Ivan Toney, who is one of the best in the Premier League.

Toney netted 20 Premier League goals last season with Brentford’s asking price ranging from £80million to £100million, according to latest reports.

We have both been linked with a possible move for Toney – as both need strikers in the coming windows – but according to pundit Troy Deeney, it is the Blue side of London rather than the Red.

‘My advice to him would be to join a project where you fit like a glove — and that would be Chelsea,’ the former Watford striker told The Sun.

‘Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino’s biggest problem is still a need for an out-and-out striker. After £1BILLION of spending, where are his 20 goals coming from consistently?

‘So, what is another £100million to them? That’s the going rate for a top player nowadays, and I reckon Brentford would accept £80m plus add-ons.

‘Some may argue CHELSEA as a club is a circus. Why would any player, especially one who has been out for a lengthy period, want to get involved there as they hover around mid-table with no European football?

‘But elite strikers have this different sort of mindset and arrogance. Ivan will look at that team, that situation, and think: “Let me show you why I am the Guv’nor.”

‘He may well also be the missing piece to Arsenal’s hunt for the title but they play a style that would force him to change his game quite significantly, getting used to not having as many touches as he would like.

‘Or, Mikel Arteta would have to slightly tweak his own style. I can’t see that happening.’

Dumfries price set –

It has been claimed that CHELSEA have been told the price they will need to pay if they wish to sign Denzel Dumfries.

Dumfries is a player that we have been eyeing up for some time – but have never made an official offer – but after seeing him impress at the World Cup – and then in the Champions League and Seria A last season – the club are determined to sign the defender

They were heavily linked with a move for the defender during the summer window, and there some big claims that they were actually closing in a potential deal as the Italians were ready to do some business.

However – a move failed to materialise as Inter wanted to keep hold this season in hope that they could convince Dumfries to end all the speculation and commit to his long-term future at the club

The versatile Dutch full-back’s current contract expires in 2024 and it remains to be seen if the Serie A giants will consider offering him a new deal.

Inter are now set to demand €50 million for their star player Denzel Dumfries, according to La Gazzetta via Fichajes.

Amid all the speculation and the rumours – reporter Iomie Stanley said: Chelsea do not need to splash the cash to sign a defender that will replace Reece James – just provide back-up.

‘The Dutchman is a starter – he is a player that will want to play every-game and that could cause issues.

‘James is one of the best wingbacks in the game, so CHELSEA. should be looking to sign a player that will provide him good competition – be a good back-up but also be ready to sit on the bench and be happy.

‘There is no harm in having two quality wingbacks in the squad – but with both of them eager to play – Dumfries would be a very good signing if he is prepared to wait for his chances.

Chelsea working on Gallagher deal –

It has been claimed that CHELSEA are now ready to step up their efforts to sign up Conor Gallagher.

Gallegher had been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it was believed that we would have allowed him to depart the club if the right offer was made.

That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and even made an offer of £40 million, which was rejected by the Blues as they were seeking closer to £50 million for Gallagher.

He has featured in the opening weeks of the season for Mauricio Pochettino and is beginning to look like the player that many tipped to become a world class act just a few seasons ago.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

According to 90 Min, the club are ready to step up their efforts to keep Conor Gallagher and offer him a new contract.

The report says that Gallagher has been a mainstay of Pochettino’s midfield and has even donned the captain’s armband and the Blues are now expected to open talks over a new deal.

IcChelseanews View…

There is no doubt that Gallagher is a talented midfielder that could shine under Pochettino – so if the boss wants him at Stamford Bridge – stay. Especially as there is a place for him in the side.

There has been so much speculation about his future for seasons now, so this new deal will kind of end the immediate speculation surrounding his future and keep him settled.
