Chelsea want to get transfer deal done for mercurial winger THIS WEEK

Ziyech

It has been claimed that Hakim Ziyech is a player that CHELSEA are trying to sell this week – as they look to raise some more transfer funds.

Ziyech is one of the players at Stamford Bridge that the club wanted to get rid of before the January transfer window closed – especially as he has failed to live upto the expectations on his shoulders.

It was PSG who appeared to have won the race to sign the mercurial winger before he saw his Stamford Bridge escape route blocked at the very last minute of the transfer window.

However – the club are looking to carry on trimming the squad over the next few weeks and Ziyech is a man that Mauricio Pochettino has no plans for in the coming seasons.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Evening Standard claims that the club have made the decision to trim the squad even further over the next week and Ziyech will be one of the names out of the door,

The report says the board have told the winger they did not have to report for pre-season training last week and instead were given a return date of this coming Monday. But the club want to sell as soon as possible.

The club have already seen several high-profile players leave the club this summer. Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic have all found new homes in the Premier League.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante have moved to the Saudi Pro League, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic have both joined AC Milan. Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta also left on a free transfer and has returned to Spain to sign for Atletico Madrid.
