Chelsea all set to open talks and bring exciting German hitman to Premier League?

Chelsea are keeping an eye on Freiburg forward Luca Waldschmidt with Frank Lampard keen to boost his attacking options.

Frank Lampard may have the brilliant Tammy Abraham in the squad, but he still needs to add some world class talent to the attack and has been constantly linked with some of the games best, most talented and even some coming towards the back end of his career.

But with suggestions in the media the likes of Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi could be heading for the exit signs at Stamford Bridge, Lampard knows that he needs to add some fresh meat to that Front-line as Abraham simply cannot do it on his own the whole season.

And despite reports in the media that some of the biggest strikers in the game have been linked, Reports on the sun have now claimed that we are looking to sign a very young striker from the Bundesliga

Waldschmidt, 23, has won two senior caps following his sensational performance in last year’s European Under-21 Championship in Italy, where he banged in seven goals in four games, and the locals were so impressed with the starlet they named him ‘Il Bomber’ in a nod to West Germany’s legend Gerd Muller, who was known as ‘Der Bomber’.

And according to reports on the Metro website, we are all set to try and open talks with the players club and representatives about a possible £20 million deal that will see the young man make the move at the end of the season.

He may face competition from rivals though as Freiburg may try to spark an auction knowing that the young man will become a hot commodity in the coming transfer windows, especially with the Coronavirus pandemic hitting clubs hard financially.
