Chelsea very interested in completing shock deal for Premier League star
Liverpool centre-back Joe Gomez is ‘high’ on the shortlist of centre-back options for CHELSEA going into the final days of the transfer window, according to the latest reports in the media this week.
Gomez is considering his future on Merseyside, mulling over whether now is the right time to take on a new challenge where he will receive more regular first-team opportunities.
Arne Slot named Jarell Quansah in his starting XI alongside Virgil van Dijk to take on Ipswich with the academy product a growing influence at the back, as it has been reported that Liverpool are now open to letting Gomez depart the club.
Now – according to TEAMtalk. we are very much interested in getting a deal done for the defender over the next few days as the report says that Enzo Maresca is keen to strengthen his defensive options before the deadline on August 30.
However, the club making a move could depend on who they can sell first. The report adds that Benoit Badiashile as well as Trevoh Chalobah are up for sale.

The club have been linked with everyone this transfer window and it is no shock to see that Gomez is now being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge – but we would be massively shocked to see the England star make the move to London – especially as he knows that he wouldnt be a regular starter for the club
