Chelsea hold talks with Prem rivals over deal for £100 million star

CHELSEA and Manchester United have talks over a possible deal for Nicolas Jackson, as the striker is seemingly a player that the club no longer want.

Chelsea have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with a £30 million deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and a £60m move for Joao Pedro from Brighton last month, and there is talk that they will continue their summer of spending.

The Athletic report that Jackson is not deemed as ‘untouchable’ at the club and could be sold if they receive a high enough offer.

And after suffering their lowest goalscoring tally in Premier League history last season (44), the Red Devils could still look to strengthen their front line by signing Jackson, as per BBC Sport.

Nevertheless, Mail Sport understands the club are in no rush to sell their man and value Jackson at a jaw-dropping £100m.

Amid all the speculation and rumours, reporter Iomie Stanley said: ‘Manager Enzo Maresca opted for João Pedro and Liam Delap in the Club World Cup, with Jackson limited to his game time

‘Jackson is only 24, so a move could provide a fresh environment to rebuild confidence and form—especially after injury disruptions and joining a club where he’s the focal point—rather than competing with a crowded forward line—might fully unlock his potential.

‘We are also sure that he would want to stay and fight for his place at the Blues, and i wouldnt mid that as he was impressive last season.’
