Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you could have missed from icchelseanews…

Manchester City star Jack Grealish has been warned against joining Chelsea this summer window.

During his time with Aston Villa – Grealish has developed into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man that was tipped to play for one of the big clubs.

In the end it was Manchester City that swooped in – paid some serious money – and took him to the Etihad in hope that he could develop into the player that showed so much promise

However – Grealish, has failed to lived up to the billing so far and Grealish’s name has been discussed by the board , according to recent reports as they seek to keep on bolstering their squad over the course of the transfer window.

But amid the speculation and Speaking to Betway, former Premier League boss Paul Lambert has warned the England winger about making the move to Stamford Bridge, he said: “With Jack Grealish, with Pep Guardiola’s team’s you can never predict what his starting line-up is going to be. You’re talking about an elite manager that’s got the pick of any player he wants.

“Jack’s a big talent without a shadow of doubt and produced a brilliant season last season for them, in terms of the CHELSEA link, the grass isn’t always greener.

“I’m not sure about leaving Manchester City, the only place you can go is downhill. But Jack is old enough to make his own decision. He knows what is right.”

DE LIGT FOR £42 MILLION –

Bayern Munich have reportedly named their price for Matthijs De Ligt, who is being chased by the likes of CHELSEA.

The 25-year-old has struggled for game time at Bayern Munich this season and that has led to alot of speculation in the media suggesting that Bayern may be open to the idea of letting him leave this January window.

We have been linked with a move for the Dutch defender over the past few months, but were recently knocked back after former boss Thomas Tuchel revealed that the big man would no be leaving in the winter window.

However – the Sky Sports Germany have claimed that Bayern may be open to letting De Ligt leave the club this transfer window – when they will have more of an opportunity to find an immediate replacement for the Dutchman.

And they will accept bids of around £42million for the former Ajax man.

It is no secret that we may be in need of adding a new centre-back to the side as reports suggest that Thiago Silva will be leaving the club – and De Ligt could be an ideal signing.

He is young enough to be handed a massive contract by the board and he is talented enough to be a brilliant addition to the squad – so he is certainly the type of player that the board would love to sign.

CHELSEA TOLD TO SIGN IVAN TONEY –

van Toney would be a ‘fantastic’ signing for the Blues, claims former Tottenham striker Teddy Sheringham.

The transfer window is no officially open and it will give us a massive chance to start getting some deals done that will send a statement to the rest of the Premier League for new boss Enzo Maresca.

The club performed terribly last season and really struggled for goals, with Cole Palmer the only player to break the 20 goal barrier, so it is vital that the Blues board allow Maresca to add a new forward to that attack over the next few months.

The Brentford talisman was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in January, though a move for the England international failed to materialise, as he wanted to stay at Brentford and get back to his best after spending so much time out of the game.

However – There remains a strong possibility the ex-Peterborough United stat will be sold this transfer window, offering the club a possible second chance at a deal, which would likely cost them £60 million to wrap up.

Now amid all the transfer speculation and rumours – Sheringham has urged the board to sign the striker – he told Genting Casinos: “I think Ivan Toney would be a fantastic signing for CHELSEA or anyone in London. Any one of those clubs would have him, he is a fantastic player who would enhance any of those sides I’ve just mentioned.

“I don’t know what’s happened to his form, but I think a player of his stature can give a lot to a football team, he is a leader who knows his position and is coming into the prime of his career. I think he would be a great asset.”
