‘Nobody can afford him’ Inter boss Spalletti has transfer warning for Chelsea over potential Skriniar deal
Chelsea have been told that they cannot afford to buy Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
With the January transfer window just a few weeks old and on deal already done in the form of Christian Pulisic, there has been a lot of speculation that Maurizio Sarri is keen to add a world class defender to the squad, and Skriniar has been ion the radar.
[the_ad id=”164″]Skriniar is in his second season with Inter after he was signed from Sampdoria for £15.8m last year, but is reportedly frustrated at the fact Milan will not meet his wage demands and could have pushed for a move away if a deal is not sorted out soon.
And recent reports have claimed Sarri ‘is not satisfied’ with his back-line and has ordered the club to delve into their transfer kitty to acquire the services of Skriniar from Inter Milan, and in turn, beat off Manchester United United in the process.
It is no secret United are also looking to do a deal for Skriniar in the January transfer window and has they have put the defender high up on the shopping list after being impressed with the Milan star over the last few months.
[the_ad id=”164″]However, Inter boss Luciaco Spalletti has warned that Skriniar is going nowhere, telling the TMW website: ‘Skriniar is staying here, he is out of everybody’s price range.
‘Nobody can afford him.’
Could a big offer still tempt Inter into selling?
Skriniar is a top-class defender that has all the makings to become one of the games very best, and although Inter are keen to keep hold of his services, a big offer from us or United could indeed get a transfer deal done and dusted.
In the world of football money talks and if we seriously want him, we will get Skriniar.
