Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that you could have missed today –

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that CHELSEA are showing an interest in Nottingham Forest defender Murillo this summer, but it would take up to £60 million to convince the Reds to cash in before the end of the window.

The Brazilian has caught the eye with his performances at the City Ground. And we have been one of the many clubs that have reportedly shown an interest in getting a deal done for the defender.

Speaking on CaughtOffside’s the Debrief podcast, Romano said: “For Murillo, there is interest from Chelsea. Chelsea asked about information on the deal…it was two weeks ago.

“At the moment it’s not being discussed in terms of a proper negotiation, because it’s really expensive, probably around £55-60m, and for Chelsea this is too much.”

Amid all the speculation and all the rumours – Murillo recently indicated that he would be open to leaving Forest after just one season: “I don’t know if it’s £70m, but I know there was a buzz of interest,” the 21-year-old defender said on the Benja Me Mucho podcast. “So, I don’t know exactly how much the amount is, but I know there was interest.

“I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I had that thought. I thought: ‘I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year and then I’ll go to a big club’. I had that in my head.

KDH GREAT SIGNING –

Former Leicester City and Chelsea defender Robert Huth has said that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is a ‘great signing’ for the Blues and has given an insight into the work that the player does off the pitch.

Under Enzo Maresca’s guidance and with Dewsbury-Hall a driving force in the middle of the pitch, the Foxes secured immediate promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

His performances last season prompted the club to splash the cash this summer and KDH joined in a £30 million deal from Leicester City at the start of the month, a deal that shock many in the media.

But Huth has claimed that KDH will be a great signing for us – Speaking to Gambling.com, Huth said: “I think he’s a great signing, I really do. With his energy, his vision, it also fits the profile as well as he’s still young. It’s going to be a challenge for him to get into that midfield for sure, because they’ve got some good players there at Chelsea.

“I really do like him, when I sort of finished at Leicester he came through as a young kid so I know what he’s like and I know his work ethic. He’s first one in, last one out.

“I’m kind of disappointed he left Leicester, but I think for him it’s a great challenge. He’s a fantastic player. Maresca obviously knows him from Leicester so from the outside it makes sense, both for him and for CHELSEA.”

COSTA READY FOR PREM MOVE –

Chelsea have been told that potential signing Diogo Costa is ready for a move to the Premier League.

The club made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.

One arrival that was made was that of Robert Sanchez – who was no longer wanted at Brighton and was quickly signed up by the Blues as they were desperate to add a new stopper to the side.

He has been a massive part of that side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.

It is reported that they are preparing for life after Costa and are resigned to him leaving following years of speculation. He could cost over £65million having established himself as one of the best in Europe.

Now Pedro Mendes, speaking to BoyleSports who offer the latest Premier League betting, said: “Diogo Costa made a save against Slovenia which was incredible and ensured Pepe’s Portugal career didn’t end in a mistake which means so much.

“If that was a goal then of course Pepe’s mistake will be connected to that forever, it would’ve been devastating for him and for me as well because Pep is a fantastic man and didn’t deserve that.

“Diogo is a great goalkeeper and I think he’s ready for the Premier League. He has everything that the Premier League demands from a goalkeeper – but it will have to be with a very top team.

“With Ederson talking to Saudi Arabia, I think CHELSEA would be a great move for Diogo. He has been used to that pressure at Porto…”
