Chelsea told target ‘ready’ for move – Blues in £65M talks – Chelsea told to sign Unit

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –
CHELSEA have made contact with FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa over a possible transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca is the man that the board feel can take the club forward after Mauricio Pochettino failed to impress as coach of the club last season – and the Italian will be backed in the transfer window.
And The Telegraph report that the 44-year-old will prioritise signing a new goalkeeper as he looks to improve key areas of the squad that is lacking in real quality.
We made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.
And now – According to journalist Rudy Galetti on X, the club have made contact with FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa over a possible transfer
He Tweeted: ‘Diogo #Costa has been approached by #CHELSEA, which are looking for a new goalkeeper.
💰 #Porto are open to selling the 🇵🇹 GK in the summer, in case an offer is deemed satisfactory.’

We have not seen too much of how Costa likes to play – but any decent stopper is welcome to the club as that is a position that needs to be improved.
SESKO READY FOR MOVE –
Djordje Petrovic has praised CHELSEA target Benjamin Sesko and feels he is ready-made for the Premier League,
Sesko ended the season in stunning form, scoring or assisting in 13 of the final 16 games of the Bundesliga season, and his release clause increased to €65million (£56m) as a result.
It is no secret that we are looking to add a new striker to that attack in the coming transfer window as they still have not got a 25-30 goal a season forward that can score on a weekly basis.
And amid all the speculation – goalkeeper Petrovic may well see that price tag as something of a bargain, with the 24-year-old convinced Sesko would be a success in the Premier League after following his performances this season.
Asked about Sesko, who he may face off against in the Euro 2024 group stages, Serbia international Petrovic told Nogomania: ‘I know [about the rumours] and have been following him.
‘He’s having a good half-season, he’s in great scoring form
‘I read that he’s scored in his last seven matches in a row. He seems to have gained strong momentum for the Euros.
‘He’s a forward who has everything a modern player needs. He’s tall, strong, fast and intelligent.
‘I’ve watched some of his matches. Of course he can play in the Premier League. Absolutely!
‘He has great potential and he’s been successfully proving it in recent months.’
CHELSEA TOLD REPLAE GALLAGHER –
Emmanuel Petit has identified the perfect replacement for Conor Gallagher, should he leave Chelsea this transfer window.
It is no secret that the club have a number of fringe players that they could sell on in order to finance their transfer targets and a few Premier League clubs are reportedly ready to pay £40 million to get a deal done for Gallagher.
Former star Petit admits he cannot comprehend any decision that would see Gallagher depart in the transfer window, but believes PSG’s tough tackling Manuel Ugarte should be on the radar of whoever replaces Pochettino.
‘Why are CHELSEA selling Gallagher, because of the money?’ Petit told BoyleSports, who offer the latest Champions League betting. ‘I know they get pure profit on Gallagher but that should not mean you sell one of the most influential members of the team and one of the only English players
‘It’s so important for the fans, identity and DNA of the club to have these players in the team, I don’t get it. Chelsea have spent a lot of money and they now have to sell their own players, they need to think about this before.
‘Ugarte could be a good replacement for Chelsea, though, as he’s a quality player. He was one of the first names on the team sheet for Enrique at PSG, but then he fell out of favour after they were thrashed by Newcastle.
‘He was on the bench after that and the mentality is to build from behind, but he doesn’t suit that well. Ugarte is very good, fighting for the second balls, providing balance for the team, but with the ball, he’s not the best in the team.
‘But if he joins CHELSEA I think he could be a good fit in their team.’
