Chelsea told £150k-a-week star will look to complete transfer deal

Frank McAvennie has suggested Christian Pulisic will leave Chelsea if he is not in Graham Potter’s plans for the season.
The American star was hailed as one of the best and most exciting young wingers in world football – and his performances for Borussia Dortmund lead to Chelsea spending £58 million for the player
However – despite some decent performances in that Chelsea shirt – Pulisic has not hit the heights that many had hoped for and has fallen further down the pecking order after the arrival of Raheem Sterling
That has led to some shock reports in the media which have claimed that he is ready to leave the club – and Chelsea are very much open to letting him leave Stamford Bridge if they receive the right offer.
However – after reportedly holding clear the air talks with Chelsea – the star had decided to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place in the side – believing that he would be given a fresh chance under Graham Potter
But now McVennie has opened up and claimed that Pulisic will indeed leave Chelsea if he is not part of the plans under Potter
When asked if the attacker will look for a move away if he’s not in Potter’s plans, McAvennie told Football Insider: “Of course he will if he’s not in the plans.
“It’s going to take another couple of weeks before Potter finds his best team and finds who he can trust and who he can rely on. He’ll do alright, he’s got a good team with him.
“I know Billy Reid, he’s a good coach. People are saying he can’t handle the superstars but why not? If you’re the gaffer you’re there on merit, not anything else.
“Couple of things I’ve seen of him, he’ll get the respect out the dressing room.“
