Chelsea board told potential £100 million signing is ‘perfect fit’
Troy Deeney believes that Brentford striker Ivan Toney would be the perfect fit for CHELSEA.
The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now and many were expecting the Gunners to be very busy in trying to add a bit more depth to keen areas of the pitch.
However – despite all the speculation and all the rumours – there has not been too much work being done by that board and fans have been frustrated that the club have not yet been able to add a striker to the side.
Toney is a player that has been linked with a move away from Brentford all season – despite the fact that he has only just returned from time away from the game – but it seems that he is staying put this transfer window.
The former Watford striker joined talkSPORT following Toney’s return for Brentford and identified where his next destination should be, claiming that he could be a perfect addition to that side.
Deeney said: “You know who’s going to score, he lives for the headlines. He’s got an unerring confidence and unwavering confidence that most footballers have, but his is more like steely determination mixed with arrogance.
‘Total transparency, I thought he looked tired, which is normal. Normally he would drop deep, set it in the box and then make his way into the box.

‘I thought that a few times, but he managed himself really well. He’ll only get bigger, better and stronger.
‘I think if they can keep him between now and the end of the season, they’ve done really well.
‘I keep saying it, I’ve said it before, but I think CHELSEA is the perfect landing spot for him. I really do.”
