Chelsea told fee in excess of £87 million could seal deal for German star

CHELSEA have been informed they will have to fork out over £80 million to try and secure a deal for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala.

It is no secret that the club, have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Mauricio Pochettino wants to add a bit more quality to the side.

Despite the fact that some serious money has been spent, Pochettino has seen his side lack creativity and goals this season, which has ultimately meant that they have started the new season in poor fashion.

Musiala is one of the most dynamic, exciting and talented players in world football and a man that Bayern believe can get them back into the habit of winning that Champions League title.

And if you believe the words of Journalist Iomie Stanley, a fee over £87 million could get a deal done.

He said: Bayern have no obligation or urgency to sell. They don’t have to worry about it. Next year, what I think they’ll do instead is try to focus on seeing how they can extend that deal.

“But if somebody is to succeed in 2024, I think they’re going to have to put down well in excess of £85 million, maybe even more than £100million.

“I think that any top player like that will always have admiration because he is in that class of the next generation with an incredibly high ceiling.

‘But, of course, Bayern want to keep hold of the player – but £87 million is alot of money to turn down for a lad that is very inconsistent.’
