Potter told to ditch star and bring 17-goals machine to Chelsea

Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed ‘lightweight’ Chelsea forward Kai Havertz and has urged them to replace him with a Harry Kane
The 23-year-old, who is also sometimes deployed as an attacking midfielder, has scored 29 goals and made 15 assists across 121 appearances in total since he arrived in west London from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 in a deal worth over £70m.
However – he only has six goals in 29 appearances for the club this season and is looking like a player that clearly cannot cope being the top man at a big club.
Agbonlahor has been unimpressed with Havertz and feels Graham Potter’s side would benefit from playing with an ‘out-an-out’ striker, saying someone like Tottenham’s Kane would be a better fit for Chelsea
Kane has scored 17 goals across 23 games for Spurs this season and Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: ‘[Chelsea are] missing a ruthless striker.
‘Put Harry Kane in that team, put Haaland in that team, imagine the chances they’d score.
‘Havertz, for me, is lightweight. He’s a big lad, but gets bullied on the ball. He’s not an out-and-out number nine and is more a number 10.
‘But] they’ve got [Cristopher] Nkunku coming in the summer.’
