Reporter Iomie Stanley has come out and encouraged CHELSEA to make a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher at the end of the season, amid reports that the Blues can sign the stopper for £35 million.

According to The Sun, Liverpool are reluctant to sell Kelleher to a direct rival but would still likely accept an offer in the region of £35million.

Kelleher has made no secret of his desire to be the first-choice goalkeeper somewhere after spending the past five and a half seasons as a back-up option behind Alisson Becker.

It is no secret that The club are looking at adding a new stopper to the side in the upcoming transfer window, and now Stanley has opened up and shockingly claimed that the board should raid Liverpool for the 25-year old.

He was quoted: “What was really evident to me so far this season was that CHELSEA No. 1 isn’t as good as Liverpool’s No. 2. Whenever I see Kelleher play, he looks top drawer.

‘Whenever Kelleher’s in goal and he’s played a lot in the last few months, he never looks out of place when he has to come in for Alisson and do a job.

‘Liverpool don’t look any weaker with him in goal and that is a massive compliment by the way. If you’re a Liverpool fan, I know you’ve got [Giorgi] Mamardashvili coming in, but you don’t want Kelleher to go either. He’s too good to be a No. 2.

‘Chelsea want a proven stopper that will increase in value in the coming seasons, Kelleher could be that man.’
