Tottenham put massive £225 million price tag on Chelsea target Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has slapped a world-record £225m price tag on Chelsea target Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen has had another outstanding season at Spurs and has become one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League right now, but there has been some speculation that he could leave the club in the coming windows after failing to agree a contract with Spurs.

It is believed that Spurs and Eriksen cannot agree on the wages, as the Denmark International would like to sign a deal that takes him to the upper end of the Spurs wage budget, While Spurs do not want to break the back to offer him a new deal.

That has led to speculation that United, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all interested in trying to prise Eriksen away, as all have been long-time admirers of the Spurs man.

But according to reports on Spanish website AS, Levy has stuck a record £225 million price tag on the head of Eriksen in hope of warding off any interest in one of the clubs best players, despite the fact that he only has 18 months remaining on his current Spurs contract.

Would Eriksen be needed here at Stamford Bridge?

Eriksen has been solid for Tottenham this season and has shown great quality at times, but for £225 million Spurs are having a real laugh as they will be lucky to get £60 million for the creative midfielder.

So even though Sarri is a fan of Eriksen and is keen to add another midfielder to the squad, he is not needed here and we would be surprised to see Sarri make an official move for the midfielder.

Eriksen for £225,000,000 you are having a laugh. He is a very good player but that is rediculous. Levy looks like a comedian, clearly he is. Ha ha
