Chelsea to pay £115M for striker – Forward has agreed Blues move – New Chelsea signing ‘worth it’

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea transfer news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –
CHELSEA are ready to break the Premier League transfer record and try to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
Speculation has mounted over a summer move for the Swedish forward due to Newcastle’s need to balance the books for Profit and Sustainability Rules reasons,
It was no secret that the club were keen on the man way before he made the move to Newcastle – and with new boss Enzo keen to add a new striker to that attack – Isak suits the style of the club.
Isak scored 10 goals in 27 games last season, firing his club to Champions League qualification and the Carabao Cup final, and has followed that up with 25 goals this campaign after managing to stay away from injury for the most part of the season.
Reports have claimed that Talks have already taken place between the two clubs and the club are ready to pay in excess of the £115 million they spent on Moises Caicedo last summer, which will break the Premier League transfer record again.
In response to the rumours linking him with a big money move, Isak told Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen: ‘I’m enjoying myself very, very much in Newcastle.
‘I just had the best season of my career. That should not be underestimated.I love everything really about the club, the fans, the city.’
Isak added: ‘I actually have no thoughts of a move or anything like that. I enjoy myself fantastically well and am very happy with my life.’
GUIA AGREES TERMS?
CHELSEA have reportedly offered Marc Guiu around £100k per week in wages to leave Barcelona this summer.
Marca, Sport Witness reports, claims the teenager rejected a new four-year contract from the Catalan club that was seemingly proposed after Barcelona became aware of the Blues interest.
But that renewal would have paid the player less than 40k per week, and the La Liga club are yet to make an improved offer after being hopeful that their play would accept the extension.
But now Guiu is said to have verbally agreed personal terms and next the club needs to trigger the player’s £5 million release clause. That has seemingly happened this week, with Barcelona now reportedly resigned to losing the striker.

We keep on signing these young players that have big futures in the game – we keep splashing the cash for stars that have done nothing in the game in hope they can be as good as Cole Palmer.
There are some areas of the pitch that need to be worked out but surely the board needs to start adding some experience to the side over the next couple of months – they have too if the club are to get back into the habit of winning things
MESSINHO WILL BE WORTH IT –
Gilberto Silva believes Estevao Willian will be worth the money Chelsea paid to sign the Brazilian teenager.
After months and months and months of speculation and rumours – we finally agreed to bring the exciting Brazilian to Stamford Bridge in a deal that will eventually cost the club a massive £51 million.
Speaking as part of Bet365’s Copa America coverage, Silva shared his sadness that the forward will be playing in west London rather than for Arsenal: ‘Estevao Willian is worth the money. We have seen how much clubs have spent to acquire players in the Premier League and although Estevao is young, he has been playing for the Brazil youth teams and what he is doing at his age is very unique, it’s special.
If you look at the level of the young Brazilian players that have gone to Europe in recent years, the level of their game has made other players even more expensive. What’s more important than the price is how well they can adapt, which is difficult when you move to the Premier League.
‘Having said that, everything I’ve seen about him says that he will be able to adapt and show a lot for Chelsea, I’m just sad that it won’t be at Arsenal.
Silva, however, has some concerns about the perceived instability at Chelsea and how it could impact his countryman:
‘The lack of stability at CHELSEA could make things tricky for Estevao Willian, I just hope that for his sake they can find stability because for players it’s so important to have that. I was honestly expecting Mauricio Pochettino to stay for another season, I was surprised.
‘But they know what they’re doing. I just hope the changes don’t impact the players.
