Chelsea to open talks with striker in January and reach transfer agreement
With the January transfer window just over one month away from opening, there will be a chance for CHELSEA to try and come to a pre-contract agreement for Lille striker Jonathan David as the club seeks to improve that front line.
The Canadian forward has emerged as a potential transfer target for the club over the past few months, as the Blues will be desperate to add a new striker to that attack in the next couple of transfer windows
Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two other players that we are interested in – but David would represent a cheaper alternative to the other two as his contract is coming to an end at the end of the season and the Blues could land him for a bargain in January, or free at the end of the season.
That is because in the January window CHELSEA will be able to hold talks with players from other Leagues in order to agree a pre-contract agreement for the end of the season.

It will be very interesting to see just who the club try and sign in the January window – but we do believe that David is not the answer to the clubs problems as he does have the potential to be a great striker.
I want to see somebody come in and add to that front line, it will probably just be a player that none of us expect.
