Chelsea have already made TWO bids for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, and are ready to go back in with a third
Lukaku, 28, has been heavily linked to a Stamford Bridge attack, as manager Thomas Tuchel looks to add firepower upfront to what was a blunt Blues attack last season.
The Belgian is one of three world-class options who are under serious consideration by the hierarchy ahead of a potential swoop this summer, with Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland the other two linked with the club
Lukaku is a player that has firmly established himself as one of the very best strikers over in Seria A since his move from Manchester United just a few seasons ago and even helped the Italians to that title last summer
Reports on the Athletic have claimed that we have already made two offers to try and get Lukaku all signed up, but despite the fact that they have both been knocked back, Chelsea are ready to offer around £110 million to try and get a deal done
Amid the speculation that the club are keen on a move for Lukaku, Pundit Steve Nicol has opened up and urged the board not to make a move for Lukaku as he is not the finisher that the club need.
Speaking to FC, Nicol said: “Chelsea are in a position now where if they sign a centre-forward, he has to be a natural finisher. That’s the one thing they’re missing.
“As many goals as Lukaku has, he’s not a natural finisher. He has been at Chelsea twice before.”
