Umtiti has transfer message, Lampard praised for Silva signing and Chelsea to go all out to sign Rice in Icchelseanews roundup..

Chelsea will reportedly go all out to grab Declan Rice in January – according to the latest reports.

It is no secret that Frank Lampard is a massive fan of Rice and wanted to add the midfielder to the squad in the summer transfer window, but that £80 million asking price has become a big problem.

And according to recent reports, West Ham face having to double Declan Rice’s salary in a new deal after managing to the keep the England star at the club for another season.

Yet having retained the services of the player and made it clear he was their prized asset, West Ham now need to reward him with a contract that recognises his standing as the best player at London Stadium.

But, according to the Daily Star, we are determined to get him back and are ready to offer the required amount to get a transfer deal done, while offering the player a higher contract offer that the one the Hammers will reportedly offer.

Playing at the very highest level of the game and playing in the Champions League will only help him develop into a top-class players, and although the Hammers are having a good start to the season, they may be in another relegation battle by the end of the season.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been praised for his decision to sign Thiago Silva this summer.

Frank Lampard was desperate to spend some money this summer and bring in a leader at the back, but he managed to save a big of cash and land Silva on a fresh transfer after he decided to leave PSG at the end of last season.

The Brazilian may be 33-years of age, but he brings experience, quality and leadership at the back that the club have been lacking for a good few seasons now, and Lampard knew that he needed to sign a player like Silva to help improve the clubs chances of winning that Premier League title

Critics believe that the best transfer decision he made this summer was the signing of Thiago Silva on a free transfer, and Pundit Danny Murphy believes says Silva showed his worth in his with a man-of-the-match performance against Manchester United at the weekend

In his Daily Mail column he said: “I said in the summer that for all the business Chelsea did, Thiago Silva could be their cleverest signing.

“He showed that on Saturday night and was the best player on the pitch.”

Long-term Chelsea target Samuel Umtiti is determined to secure a departure on better terms from Barcelona in the future.

It was no secret that Frank Lampard was seeking to improve the back-line in the summer transfer window, and was considering a transfer move to try and acquire the services of Umtiti, who has been plagued by injuries over the past few seasons.

But despite all the speculation that a move was on the cards, Umtiti opted to stay put at Barcelona and fight for his place in the side, But he is yet to feature for Ronaldo Koeman’s side this season,.

And now Umtiti has revealed his brief temptation to leave the club over the summer, only to realise his desire to stay in order to leave the club on better terms in the future.

“Everything was possible during the transfer window. Lyon is my club and my city. They gave me the opportunity to be seen,” Umtiti told Canal +.

“There were discussions, but it was quick, nothing concrete. I had to be able to speak with a club. I’ll be honest: Barcelona is Barcelona. I don’t want to leave Barcelona and even less like that.

“The last two years have been the most complicated of my career. Sometimes I got really sick of it. I relapsed each time, and with different injuries because I was trying to compensate. It wasn’t a knee problem, it was that I had a total imbalance. I had to start over.

“I stopped eating meat, fish and milk. I feel better, I sleep better. I have never felt so good physically. My body has also changed. I have lost three kilos. I have recovered. I have never worked so hard. And I’m happy about it.”

We now longer want the man, so who cares?
