Chelsea to go all out and bring midfielder to Stamford Bridge in January
Chelsea will reportedly go all out to grab Declan Rice in January – according to the latest reports.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard is a massive fan of Rice and wanted to add the midfielder to the squad in the summer transfer window, but that £80 million asking price has become a big problem.
And according to recent reports, West Ham face having to double Declan Rice’s salary in a new deal after managing to the keep the England star at the club for another season.
Yet having retained the services of the player and made it clear he was their prized asset, West Ham now need to reward him with a contract that recognises his standing as the best player at London Stadium.
But, according to the Daily Star, we are determined to get him back and are ready to offer the required amount to get a transfer deal done, while offering the player a higher contract offer that the one the Hammers will reportedly offer.
Playing at the very highest level of the game and playing in the Champions League will only help him develop into a top-class players, and although the Hammers are having a good start to the season, they may be in another relegation battle by the end of the season.
But we have said it before, we do not need him in the side and need to work on adding a partner for Thiago Silva, as that is the area of the pitch which has been costing the club serious points.
