Chelsea have made offer to bring world class free agent Silva to the Bridge?
Reports have claimed that Chelsea have offered a contract to free agent Thiago Silva
Now we all know that Frank Lampard has a very exciting attack that can cause some serious damage for us, but we have looked vulnerable in defence throughout the campaign.
We have shipped 49 Premier League goals in total, more than any other club in the top 10, meaning that we will need to add a leader that is ready to help add some world class quality to that back line.
And sources has learned that there could be a deal on the horizon for free agent, and one of the best defenders in the game right now, Thiago Silva.
After a few successful seasons with PSG, Silva is now on the transfer market after failing to agree a new contract with the French giants, meaning that anyone that matches his high wages are free to try and get a deal done.
And sources have suggested that we are now leading the chase to try and get a transfer deal wrapped up for the man, with a one-year £325,000-a-week contract offer set to be offered when the window opens up.
Silva is no spring chicken but he is the sort of player that could come into the club and make a real difference to the back-line, especially as he would be arriving at the club for free.
If reports are true and we have made a move to get him signed up, he would be more than welcome at the club.

this may make sense and give the team enough time to hunt for a good, young and reliable defender. i thought even hiring his name sake david silva for a year or 2 to nurture the youngesters.
please sell this idea
not only that a season goalie in the mould of kasper schemichel to mentor kepa fo r 2/3 seasons would assist greatly. the team is not playing well bcause it seems lampard as a young coach wanted to quickly get rid of the old guards pedro giroud, alonso and cahill and its backfiring
