Chelsea target ‘waiting for offer’, Blues have been told to make stunning move and sign superstar, Italian announces Chelsea ‘to hold talks’ and hand gifted midfielder
Chelsea told to sign Pogba, Raphinha waiting for transfer offer and Mount to get new contract in Chelsea roundup…
Darren Bent has urged Chelsea to make a stunning move to try and sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in the summer
The 28-year-old joined the Red Devils from Juventus in 2016 for roughly £95million, switching back to the club he left for the Bianconeri as an academy player.
However, there has been many people in the media claiming that he is not happy at Old Trafford, that he cannot showcase his true ability as he is not 100 per cent committed to the club
That has led to many rumours in the media over the past few years that he wants to leave the club and head back to Real Madrid, or test himself at PSG or Madrid, but he has stayed put, despite all those rumours
However, The playmaker is yet to secure his future at Old Trafford, with contract discussions held but a decision is set to be made at the end of the season.
But Amid the uncertainty of the Frenchman’s future, talkSPORT pundit and former Tottenham striker Darren Bent believes that we should sign the midfielder.
Bent said: “When [Paul] Pogba plays alongside [N’Golo] Kante he looks like a completely different player. If they [Chelsea] were to sign him… Wow!”
N’Golo Kante and Pogba have played alongside one another on many occasions for the France national team over the years, building an understanding and chemistry between each other in the midfield.
Whether the club are urged on by Darren Bent’s comments will be seen, but Pogba will have many options to choose from in the summer as he is one of the very best midfielders in world football
We would be shocked to see him make that move to Stamford Bridge as La Liga, Serie A or Ligue 1 are all challenges that he would relish
Chelsea are set to discuss a new contract with midfielder Mason Mount, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 23-year-old has impressed since breaking into the first-team under the guidance of Frank Lampard and has gone on to become a massive part of the future
His current deal expires in 2024 and the club are keen to “avoid problems” with Mount, according to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that the Blues are “planning to open talks” with the midfielder over a new contract.
‘Chelsea are planning to open talks with Mason Mount in the coming months. Discussions over new contract have not started yet, no direct contact – but Chelsea want to negotiate this year to avoid problems. 🔵🏴#CFC
‘His current Chelsea deal expires in June 2024.’
If Romano is correct and we are keen to hand Mount a nice big new contract, then it will be a very smart decision to make from the club as he has a big future in the game
The club are having contract issues with a number of first teamers this season, so with the fact that Mount will get better and better, ending all speculation and handing him a contract in the summer, would shut everyone up.
Yes there is a long way to go before an announcement is made, but at the end of the day, keeping hold of players that are shining at the club right now is the right thing to do.
So this is great news for fans, and bad news for all the clubs who were hoping that Mount could be tempted into leaving Stamford Bridge
Leeds star and Chelsea target Raphinha is holding off talks over a new contract because he is waiting on offers from Europe’s top teams
Raphinha has been the best player for Leeds for the last few seasons, but he has really shown just how good he is this season, despite the poor results that the club have been picking up.
He has scored eight goals in the Premier League – twice as many as next top scorer Daniel James. He also has two assists to his name from 21 games in the English top-flight.
Leeds are hopeful of holding on to the Brazil international beyond his current contract, which expires in 2024, but IcChelseanews has learned that Raphinha wants to explore his options and is looking to hear what other clubs have to offer.
Raphinha recently insisted he is not distracted by the enormous speculation surrounding his future or the question marks over his contract situation at Leeds.
‘I’ve got a contract until 2024, my head is totally here and focused on Leeds,’ the Brazilian told BBC Radio Leeds.
‘As for contractual matters, I leave them to my agent and my dad.
‘I just focus on playing my football and making the Leeds fans happy, scoring goals, providing assists and getting victories for the team.
‘Contractual matters are for my agent, my focus is on making people happy with my football and doing as best as I can for Leeds.’
IcChelseanews View on this…
We did not spend in the January window and that was a shock, but come the summer, it could be special players like Raphinha that make a move to the Bridge.
The club dont really need him in the squad, but with Hakim Ziyech getting on a bit, he could be an ideal candidate to replace the impressive Blues winger
