Here is the latest Chelsea fc news and gossip from icchelseanews that you could have missed guys..
Ben Chilwell appears to have dropped a hint on his future at CHELSEA , as the defender looks increasingly likely to leave the Blues when the transfer window opens up in just a few months time.
The 27-year-old defender has been heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge for a while now after falling out of favour under Enzo Maresca, and It appears that plans to sell Chilwell could already be in the works.
On Wednesday, the Englishman broke a two-month silence on his Instagram feed, showcasing pictures with some family, friends and also colleagues at Cobham training ground.
In the comment section, a user, who was tagged playing paddle in one of Chilwell’s pictures, left an intriguing message under the post. @rampa_keinemusik wrote: “Exit strategy loading…”
Reporter Iomie Stanley has recently come out and claimed that the Blues will look to get a deal done for the defender in the January transfer window- He said: ‘The 27-year-old left-back, once a key figure in Chelsea’s defense, may be deemed surplus to requirements under the potential leadership of boss Enzo Maresca.
‘Chelsea have shown a willingness to offload players for the right price as part of their squad overhaul under Todd Boehly. A sale of Chilwell in the January window could provide an opportunity for the club to recoup funds and reinvest in other areas of the squad.
‘Several Premier League clubs, as well as teams across Europe, could be interested in Chilwell, who remains a high-quality full-back when fully fit.
‘With Chilwell’s future at CHELSEA now uncertain, the January transfer window may be a pivotal moment in his career. it wouldn’t be surprising to see Chilwell leave Stamford Bridge in search of regular game time and a fresh start elsewhere.’
IS DAVID JOINING?
Lille striker Jonathan David has hinted he will not leave the French club in January, with the likes of CHELSEA one of the many clubs that are reportedly interested in signing the striker in the next couple of transfer windows.
David has earned a reputation as one of the finest strikers in Europe’s top five leagues. The 24-year-old has scored 97 goals in 202 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants. His displays alone have caught the attention of some of the biggest teams in the game.
He has scored 13 goals in 18 games for Lille this season and with Chelsea seemingly still interested in adding a new striker to that attack, there has been talk that the Blues are ready to open up negotiations with the striker and come to some sort of pre-agreement deal that sees him get signed at the end of the season.
But any teams that had hope of signing David in the January window have now been shot down, as the Canadian star has hinted that he will not leave Lille in the middle of the season: “Going to a club mid-season is never easy,” David told The Athletic.
“It’s not like the beginning of a season where you have a pre-season, you get to know your teammates, you have time to gel.
“In January, things are very hectic. It’s about right now. It’s tougher.”

David has been linked with a whole host of big clubs for the last few seasons, there is alot of interest in the player, so even though i would like him to sign, is he any better than Nicolas Jackson?
GYOKERES READY FOR PREMIER LEAGUE
Anders Limpar has told the likes of CHELSEA that Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has the ability to cope with the pressures of playing in the Premier League and believes that it is the next step for the big striker
Swede Gyokeres has been a major hit in Portugal since joining Sporting from Coventry in July 2023 and become one of the most dangerous strikers in World football, hitting 43 goals for the club last season.
Gyokeres is one of a number of Sporting CP players who could leave the Portuguese club in the wake of Ruben Amorim’s departure, with Chelsea likely to chase the former Coventry striker once again.
And former Arsenal and Sweden midfielder Limpar is confident Gyokeres could make the transition into Premier League football based on his recent heroics against Manchester City and his previous spell with Coventry City.
He added: ‘We have to remember that the Portuguese league is inferior to the Premier League, but when Manchester City came to visit Lisbon, he scored a hat-trick, so he’s fully capable of scoring in England.
‘He has played for Coventry and scored goals, he knows the English mentality.
‘I think his next step is to play in the Premier League and he can really choose which team he wants to play in.’
