£62 million Fekir opens up and drops transfer hint amid Chelsea speculation
Chelsea transfer target Nabil Fekir has hinted that his future could be away from the French side, despite talks over a new deal.
With constnat speculation that Eden Hazard, Willian and even Pedro could leave the club in the summer transfer window, there has been alot os speculation about whom Maurizio Sarri could bring in as immediete replacements for the trio.
And Frenchman Fekir, who was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, has been on the shopping list for a while, with his creativity and goal rate reportedly impressing Sarri on a number of occasions.
And he has dropped a hint that he could leave Lyon as he dreams of playing in another League.
[the_ad id=”164″]Speaking to French publication Le Progres, he said: “I am happy at Lyon, but which player doesn’t dream of discovering a new league, another club?
“Discussions are ongoing [over a new deal]. I have sat down with the president, things are advancing slowly. When will I take a decision? I am not fixing myself a date, I am not in a rush.
“Nobody is putting any pressure on it and I like to take my time.”
[the_ad id=”164″]Is Fekir needed?
The Frenchman not only creates goals, but scores them after netting an impressive 21 for the French side last season and even though we have one of the best attacks in world football, there is a need to add more fire-power to the squad.
So even though we already have a number of top-class midfielders, if they can get Fekir for anything close to the £62 million he is going for then it will be a great bit of business by the club.
He could be a great signing for the club, for now, and the long run.
