43 assists star now linked with big move to Chelsea in January

Chelsea have been linked with a move for FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi – according to journalist Dean Jones.

The World Cup may be happening over in Qatar – but that has not stopped all the speculation and all the rumours about what players we could sign in the January window.

It is no secret that the club have been struggled for goals this season and it is no secret that Ted Boehly will look to splash some cash in order to improve that situation by the end of the winter window.

And that has now led to rumours in the media that we could be interested in a potential deal for the impressive Taremi.

Since arriving at Porto back in back in 2020, Taremi has registered 62 goals and 43 assists in 115 appearances for the Portuguese giants and established himself as one of the leading attackers in Europe.

And amid all the speculation – Jones has claimed that he could be one player that make a move to Stamford Bridge in the January window.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, he said: “He has really enjoyed his time in Portugal, and he’s thriving there.

“So, I think we have to consider that it would have to be the right club that came along with exactly the right plan for him because I know that he does really enjoy it there.

“So far, I’ve seen Lazio linked, Milan linked, and Manchester United linked, so you can already see that the profile of him is starting to rise.

“It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we see the likes of Chelsea being linked with him soon too.

“So yeah, definitely a January when Taremi is going to be raising eyebrows.”
