Bent excited to see Haaland at Chelsea, Chelsea submit Hakimi offer, President opens Lukaku door and Haaland interested in Chelsea move in news of the day…
Erling Haaland is reportedly interested in a move to Chelsea this summer, according to the latest reports.
The European Championships are just a few days away, but there is alot of transfer speculation in the media about what players Thomas Tuchel will look to bring to the club.
Timo Werner was supposed to be the big goal-scorer that the club needed, but he has struggled in his first season in the Premier League, while Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud could still both leave the club in the transfer window.
And that has led to alot of speculation in the media that the club are very much interested in trying to secure a transfer deal for Borussia Dortmund star Haaland, who is one of the most sought after players in world football.
Haaland scored 41 goals in as many games for Dortmund last term, and that has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich to name just a few clubs.
But The Telegraph claims Haaland would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge if the club can broker a deal with Dortmund.
The report says Haaland would also be prepared to wait until next summer before leaving the Bundesliga club.
Director Marina Granovskaia is exploring the option of signing Haaland when his release clause becomes active at the end of next season if they cannot secure him this summer.
Haaland will cost a massive £172 million to sign in the transfer window but he would be worth all that money as the man is a real goal-machine
Inter Milan president Steven Zhang has conceded the club may have to sell star striker Romelu Lukaku in the transfer window
The club are interested in signing Lukaku after the Belgian striker netted 30 goals in 44 appearances last season, as Thomas Tuchel knows that he needs to add another striker to the attack in the transfer window.
Lukaku has publicly stated he intends on staying at Inter after talking to incoming manager Simone Inzaghi, but the club will take confidence from Zhang’s admission of Inter’s perilous financial situation while explaining why Conte decided to leave the club.
“From the first moment we took over Inter we thought that [Antonio] Conte would be the best coach for our project,” Zhang told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“Two years ago we finally managed to bring him to the Nerazzurri.
“I was and remain convinced that Conte is a winning coach: this is the reason that led us to invest so much in him and in the team in the last two years.
“Last summer the pandemic had greatly affected our revenues but we continued with him, focusing on the season convinced that we could win.
“The decision was right, but now the bill brought by the pandemic is such that we cannot fail to review the situation by looking for savings that lead to a future budget balance.
“We must reduce costs and control risks. This obviously also influences the transfer market strategy. Our different views on the situation led to the separation.
“What wasn’t fundamental for him, was for the club, and vice-versa. Conte is a top coach, but as president, I have to think about the solidity of the club.”
Darren Bent has admitted he is excited about Chelsea possibly signing Erling Haaland, amid reports that the club have submitted a massive £174 million offer
The transfer window is just a few weeks from opening and that means that Thomas Tuchel will look to get the players that he believes will help bring that Premier League title to Stamford Bridge
Reports on Monday linked the club with a whopping £174million move to sign the Borussia Dortmund sensation as Thomas Tuchel steps up his pursuit of a goalscorer this summer.
Haaland is already one of the most deadly strikers in world football and netted a very impressive 41-goals last season, which means that he has already netted a stunning 170 goals in his career, and he is only 20
There are a lot of potential stumbling blocks on the way, but it is claimed the club are willing to include Tammy Abraham in any deal and are hoping to bring the Norwegian ace to the Premier League.
And amid the speculation, ex-striker Bent says it would be a great deal for the Blues as they haven’t had an out-and-out centre-forward since Diego Costa.
He tweeted: “#Haaland has star quality! Chelsea haven’t had a proper striker since Costa.”
“If #CFC can get someone who can score 25 goals, next season will be so interesting!”
There is alot of rumours that the club are offering big money for Haaland, but considering they have the financial power to sign any player in the game, we would not be surprised to see this deal actually happen
Chelsea have submitted an offer in the region of €60 million (£51.5m) to sign Inter defender Achraf Hakimi, according to reports in Italy.
Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to keep improving the side in the transfer window as he will need to add a bit more quality to the squad.
That has led to reports in the media that the club are very interested in trying to secure a transfer deal for Hakimi, who is now regarded as one of the very best defenders in Seria A.
Hakimi helped Inter win the Seria A title this season, but the Italians are in debt and they must sell a number of players in the transfer window in order to balance the books, and Hakimi is a man that they will allow to leave
Now, According to Sky Sport Italia, both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have tabled offers of €60m (£51.5m) but the Serie A champions are holding out for a fee closer to €80m (£68.7m) for the Morocco international.
The report also claims that we have the edge over PSG as they can include two players – Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen – as part of their offer for Hakimi.
Considering that we already have one of the very best right-backs in the premier League, so it is a massive shock to see that Tuchel is looking to add another to the squad in the coming window.
However, we need to add some more quality players to the squad and no-one will be upset if the club do manage to sign Hakimi right?
