Chelsea statement confirms defender has made transfer move!
CHELSEA can confirm that Ishe Samuels-Smith has completed a permanent transfer to Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg, as the versatile defender needs some regular minutes in a first team.
The Blues posted: ‘Signed from Everton in July 2023, Samuels-Smith featured for our Under-18s and Under-21s during his two years at Stamford Bridge.
‘The versatile defender was part of the Blues squad which won the Under-18 Premier League South title in May 2024 and also helped our Under-21s twice reach the Premier League 2 play-offs.
‘Samuels-Smith, who has been capped by England at under-19 level, was also included in the senior matchday squad on seven occasions.
‘We thank Ishe for all his efforts during his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he takes the next step in his career with the Ligue 1 club.’
IcChelseanews Says…
At CHELSEA he was going nowhere, he may have featured in that first team squad, but at the end of the day, he is still not good enough to make any sort of impact on that massive Blues squad.
This is a loan move for the lad, but at the end of the day, it will get to a point where he needs to make a decision about what is next, will he make that permanent move away from the Blues?
