Chelsea statement confirms deal for attacker is signed, sealed and confirmed!

CHELSEA midfielder Kendry Paez has joined Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg on a season-long loan, the Blues have now confirmed as they seek to give the young player some first team experience.

Chelsea posted: ‘A deal to bring Paez to Stamford Bridge was struck in June 2023, but he could only complete his switch after his 18th birthday in May.

‘Paez has gained plenty of first-team experience after making his senior debut in February 2023. The 18-year-old has made 70 appearances for Independiente del Valle and has also been capped 18 times by Ecuador.

‘We look forward to monitoring and supporting Kendry‘s development throughout his time in France.

Paez is a great young talent, he came to Chelsea will big hopes of trying to break into that Blues side, to make an impact and possibly push on to reach his full potential. But that move to Stamford Bridge was far too early for the lad.

Paez will hope he gets the minutes at Strasbourg that he needs, but hopefully this will give him the first team experience that he needs to come back and try to make a real impression on the side.

As we said, the lad is very talented and hopefully he can fulfil his potential here at Stamford Bridge, i am just hoping that Paez does not get lose in the system like many of our former talented players.
