Inter Milan will not consider bids of less than £100m for Chelsea target Milan Skriniar, according to recent reports.
Despite the incredible start to life under new boss Maurizio Sarri and his unbeaten start to the new season, it is not a secret that Maurizio Sarri is still keen to add a few faces to the squad in the coming transfer windows, with many believing we are a defender and striker away from bring serious Premier League title contenders.
David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger have started the season impressively, but both are so unreliable that it is quite scary, especially since they could cost us points at any moment during the season, and now we do not have Thibaut Courtois between the sticks, it could be a real problem.
And that has led to much speculation that Sarri is looking to bring in the likes of Skriniar, Toby Alderweireld, Alessio Romagnoli or Daniele Rugani in the next transfer window, with his defence the weakest area in the squad.
Skriniar has fast become one of the most dominant and imposing defenders in Serie A, with his ball-playing ability and leadership at the back more suited to the way Sarri likes to play the game.
However, if we seriously want to complete a deal for Skriniar in the coming windows, we will have to break the transfer record for a defender as Milan will not even open talks about a potential deal unless their £100 million valuation is met, according to the Sun website.
Milan are desperate to keep hold of the highly-rated defender and believe that a huge fee will convince any chasing clubs to look elsewhere.
Is Skriniar worth the £100 million or should Sarri look to bring an alternative to Stamford Bridge?
Now I firmly believe that Luiz and Rudiger have deserved their spots in the squad this season and have done a pretty good job at the back, but if we could sign up Skriniar in the coming transfer windows it would be a big, big signing for the club.
However, even though he is world class, he is not worth the £100 million and we will need to negotiate that price down to make it worth out while.
