End the specualtion Frank! Make move and bring £100 million world class star to Chelsea

Chelsea should sign Kalidou Koulibaly if we want to get back challenging for titles again

Frank Lampard has been able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad this transfer window that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch.

And one name that will be high up on the shopping list of  boss is that of Kouliably, who is easily regarded as one of the finest central defenders in Seria A, and around Europe

Strong, classy and composed, the 28-year-old is rightly considered world-class and would be a major statement of intent from Lampard in his quest to get the club back challenging for more than a top four spot.

Koulibaly has been outstanding for Napoli over the past few seasons and his performances has made him one of the best central defenders in the game, with many believing that only Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk is better than Koulibaly.

It has been reported on many occasions that Napoli do not want to sell one of their biggest players and will only do business for the powerhouse if their massive asking price is met by a chasing club.

However, money talks in football these days and if we do go in with that £150 million transfer kitty and offer over £100 million for Koulibaly, Napoli will be more inclined to try and do business with the Blues.

If he is to sign big time players, then he should start with the signing of Koulibaly as he could be the leader that the club are seeking, especially as they need to add a bit more experience to that back-line.

We need to close the gap on the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, and even though we have some exciting talent, there is nothing like adding a world class defender to the squad that will send statements to the rest of the League.

If Lampard is able to complete deals in the coming days, we would love to see this man arrive, WOULDNT YOU?
